"What is too much?” To be honest it's a personal preference! For you, it might be too much when the makeup feels heavy on your skin or like your skin can't breathe (even if it looks really good). If someone is not used to wearing makeup, they could put on a light tinted moisturizer and it might feel like too much. Here are a few signs that may help! You can barely move your face. You have lipstick smeared across your face. You have very obvious contour lines. Your eyelashes look spidery. Your shirt collars are stained with makeup, etc, etc... Other signs can show after makeup is applied and washed off for the day! such as discoloration in the skin, acne in unusual places, some swelling, itching, or irritated areas on the face.

Every three to four weeks!  You probably thought I was going to say once or twice a week, right? You should know by now your skin needs some TLC and it won’t pamper itself. But there is such a saying "too much of a good thing is bad, " and this is why. In order to fully enjoy glowing skin, it’s important to give your skin the care it needs, which can sometimes mean, letting it breathe, and enjoying the fresh air and a little sunlight. The best way to ensure your skin is healthy and clean is to have routine facials coupled with a good at-home skincare regimen and breaks between them. To maximize the results of a facial and reap its benefits, you need to set up a routine that works best for you and your skin. So how often should you get a facial? Unfortunately, there’s no specific answer. There are several factors to consider when you gauge the length of time between facials. What works well for a friend might not work for you. So the next question you need to ask yourself is, what are my skincare goals? People schedule facials for many reasons. Some want to preserve their youthful looks, while others seek to clear up acne-prone skin. Decide what your skin care goals are and what you hope to achieve. Before you schedule an Esthetician and put together a skin care routine, you should know your type of skin, your skin concerns, and your skin goals.

There are lots of DIY remedies and recipes! However, the goal is to find what works best for you and your skin. Why spend a ton on spas and witch doctors when you can make the time for yourself in the comfort of your own home. These DIY fixes will help to produce feelings of relaxation and tranquility, similar to that of a spa treatment but in the comfort of your own home. Nourishing Milk Hand Soak Debra Jaliman, M.D., New York City dermatologist, recommends a warm milk soak to soften hard-working hands. Recipe: Heat 2 to 3 cups of whole milk (enough to completely submerge both hands) in the microwave until it's warm. Pour into a bowl and let hands soak for five to 10 minutes, allowing the fat from the milk to hydrate, and vitamins A and E to nourish dry skin. Soothing Aloe Face Mask Aloe vera is good for more than just a sunburn: This amazing plant is composed of anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and moisturizing properties to leave skin feeling soft and looking radiant. Recipe: Mix 1/2 tablespoon of almond milk with one tablespoon of brown sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add four tablespoons (approximately) of aloe vera juice or gel. Apply the mixture onto your face, let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes, and remove with warm water and a soft towel.
